Personality: Rud is convinced that he is fully British. No one is exactly sure why, though. This guy's the kind of person who seems rough and tough, but he does that all by accident. He doesn't know how to respond to people who act nicely to him, because he is usually a pushover, and no one really has ever spoken to him other than to tell him off for doing something wrong or telling him to do something. And although he may seem like an introvert at first, he just wants friends and people to be around him. He may wield a sword and claim to have taken over a thousand men to their death, but the blade has never seen blood for more than three centuries. By himself, he is no different than when he is in front of others. No matter what, you'll always see a smile on his face albeit when he's super pissed or extremely sad.

Gift Info: Being of a family who has thousands of generations of some of the greatest samurai and swordsmen, the blood Rud has in his veins gives him the ability to master a sword technique by seeing each move at least three times, and at least one of the three times the move being used on himself. However, because it is difficult to use sword techniques made for a specific type of blade, when all he has is a straight sword, all he is able to do with the knowledge is counter, and sometimes, he is never able to use some techniques because the only sword he is able to fight with is the European short sword.

History: Being of both German and Japanese origin, Rud has extremely dark hair and eyes, but fair skin. He was born in London, England, and shortly thereafter, moved with his family to America where his father wanted to get a job. Rud went to school in Seattle, which was where his family had moved. To the Washington state. He saw that there were many others like him, with parents from opposite sides of the world. He wasn't anything special or different. Or so it seemed. Rud learned of his ability when he was in grade 6, just before graduation. Rud was all alone in his home catching up on some homework while his mom had gone grocery shopping, his father had been out late again, on duty and his siblings were all out with their friends. A robber who had been watching the house for several days had finally seen his chance to go and rob the house. Honestly, what kind of trouble could you expect from a thirteen year old? None, right? However, what if this thirteen year old had an ability like no other?

It was math that night. Rud had missed the last three days of school and had to hand this work in or else he'd be held back. He didn't want to have to spend another year with 'Old hag' Ms. Jameson. Or with kids a year younger than him. He had also been told that the answers had to be fully correct, which is why he was up so late. Arithmetic was his worst subject. Even with a calculator, he was getting questions wrong. They were simple ones too. "3x= 15" "12/3= ?" "four fifths plus eight fifths" and so on so forth. Finally, at ten o'clock, he gave up and decided to cool down with a glass of milk. He heard a faint creak. It came from outside. Then, some snickering. "B-Bethany? Is t-that you? Iggy? Mildr bro? Y-you there?" He called. No answer. "It's not funny!" Another creak. It sounded like a door being opened. Hurriedly, Rud scrambled up the stairs and dashed across the hall into his parents' room screaming, he shut the door behind him. Then, he heard soft giggling outside the door and a voice calling him. "Ruda-Kuuun? What's wrong?" Rud cringed. Only his mother would call him Ruda. Not even his father, who had named him called him that. "N-nothing, Mom." "Okay, Ruda-kun, I'll make some food for everyone." Through the window, Rud saw a man pulling on a balaclava. The little boy stiffened. The man seemed to shake his head, then, he knocked on the Zacharias' front door.

Rud heard his mother saying she'd be there in a minute. Quickly, Rud searched the room for some sort of weapon to use against the intruder. Without thinking, he went to the washroom and ripped off the shower curtain hanger and ran down the stairs yelling, "NOOOOOO!" His mom was almost to the door when he had begun shouting. She ignored it thinking he had lost at one of his video games and went to open the door. As soon as she had unlocked it, the door was flung open instantly, hitting Rud's mother across the face. The masked man half-grunted, half-chuckled. Rud stared horrified. He shook his head and tried to think of something to say to the intruder. All he had were images of his favourite show, Samurai Jack. And of the time his friends and him played their own version of Samurai Jack. Rud usually ended up being the bad guy. His best friend, Jake, was always Samurai Jack and always used the same strikes over and over again with his foam sword. Rud was always beaten into the dirt. However, after many rounds, Rud was able to keep his own against his friend. Soon, he even perfectly avoided and countered the moves.

Rud lifted the curtain hanger over his head and brought it down with a swift strike. There was a loud clang, and Rud saw that the man had blocked it with his arm. Rud's adversary wrenched the hanger from Rud's grip. "Heh. You want to see a real sword style?" Rud stared, frozen, "The way you held this thing... You're pretty experienced - But not more than me!" The man held the curtain hanger with one hand and got into a fencing pose. Rud backed away, slowly. The man in the balaclava was quicker. He landed three swift, but light blows to Rud's chest. He was about to continue, but the boy had caught the fourth stroke. Rud lashed out with his free hand and his legs, and landed several hits. The child took back his weapon and landed several small, but firm hits upon the old man's body. Rud dragged the limp body of the man outside and tossed him onto the sidewalk. Then, he went to check up on his mother. She seemed to have a small cut which was bleeding a lot. He called 911 for an ambulance for both the robber and his mother.

The next day, he found out that his teacher was only playing a rather cruel practical joke on him. He hadn't had to do the work after all. Over the next four years, several things happened. Ignatius had been shot by a drunk gangster, Ryou had gone off to university, Mildrrig went to go searching for their father who had disappeared shortly after the death of his twin daughters, neither of whom has returned. Bethany, who was the one closest in age to Rud, started hanging out with junkies and druggies. Rud left school when he was fifteen and went to the orients, as a dojo yaburi, learning several sword and fighting styles. He finally returned home when he was seventeen, and had mastered over ten styles. After another year, he found out that his family had moved to New York a year after he ran away from his cousins over the phone. He used all the american money he had left to take a flight to the other side of the State's. He has yet to locate his mother and sister.
